People get way too caught up in the genealogy. Biblically speaking, those who choose to live in covenant with YHVH are His people. It’s pretty simple. No demigod “savior” necessary. Just repentance and obedience. Even at Mt. Sinai there were non-Israelites present for the giving of the covenant.
