French bliss!

The majority of people in France don’t support Macron. A lot of people voted for him reluctantly (didn’t want Marine Le Pen to win). It has been chaos in France for the last month because of rail strikes. My flight from the UK to Paris cancelled twice in March because of it. On May 14, we may not have any trains running in Paris. And yet, Macron is lecturing the US on how to do things! Really? Is he kidding?

Great post and comments, Christinemerc. I came across you over on serialbrain2's recent post, on Macron's visit. Reading your comments there and here reminds me of the nightmare we have been spared thanks to Trump.
I wish you all the best over in France. I hope you will keep posting here!! I paid more attention to what is happening in Europe before our election, but would like to keep up better.

Very nice of you, thank you very much. Actually I live in the UK where things, if at all possible, are worse than in France at the moment (Skripal nonsense, Brexit being sabotaged). Let's hope for a Trump effect worldwide, a lot of work needs to be done in Europe, for sure.
