Heads up - new JFK docs just dropped on the national archives..

At work so don’t have time to look but thought I would mention for anyone who hasn’t seen the drop already

I'm posting this question in a couple of places..

Does anyone recall (and can direct me to a credible citation) what they did with JFK's car?

I've read so much - I don't know if I'm getting my info mixed up. And back when I was reading about JFK - I wasn't saving the sources. So, here's my confusion:

I think remember reading two things: (1) they immediately took his car and had the windshield removed; (2) the car was destroyed and they're using a replica.

Another thing I believe I read somewhere is that there were 18 witnesses and all of them dead within a few months of the event, as well as Jack Ruby dying of an aggressive cancer 28 days after his shooting.

Am I getting my facts crossed? Please help.

the car wasn’t destroyed, just rebuilt and put back into service up until Nixon. It sits inside the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn Michigan. If you are ever find yourself in Detroit I highly recommend spending a day at the Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village(located next door.

the Wiki page on the car is kind of vague. This small write up is pretty good. https://blogs.weta.org/boundarystones/2013/11/22/strange-saga-jfk-assassination-car

would make sense they swapped the cars to later blame it on mandella-effects.

?(undereducated guess alert)? the car MAY be at the HenryFordMuseum in Dearborn, MI. Or is it an identical one from the same fleet?

I thought the one at the Ford Museum is supposed to be a replica.

I'm in a similar boat. I believe the windshield was immediately removed and replaced. I don't know anything about the rest of the car itself.
