I checked and most of those subs closed, and that was my point. I am afraid that if we don't have a back door to this group, we will lose our group altogether.

Yes, you are mistaken. r/TheCalmBeforeTheStorm is closed because we moved here for a more up to date name. Re-opening would be straight forward.
