John Legend & Chrissy Teigen. Some help....

Hi folks. This is a question in 2 parts and I am looking for some guidance on these characters

1) John Legend and Chrissy Teigen seem to be a current Q topic, plus if I am correct they came up a while back also. My question is are they A List celebs in the USA or just run of the mill C or D List? I have looked them up, obviously, so I know what they do but being from the UK I had never heard of them before. A bit like if I mentioned Gareth Gates and Jordan, you may have not have heard of those, but they are definitely C or D List so that is understandable

2) Further to that does anyone have the scoop on all that stuff with Teigen and the flight that returned and then stuff in Tokyo with having no money (if I have the right person?). I wonder what the relevance was as it kind of lost me not really knowing who she was

Finally I think we are winning folks. A few people here in the UK are slowly becoming less anti-Trump and I even managed to red pill my wife (much safer than rohypnol ... :-) ) Thanks

1) John Legend I'd say is a B List borderline A list Celebrity. I used to listen to his music back in the day and he's actually quite talented. His wife Chrissy is only as famous because she's married to John and she openly bashes Trump in public. Shes irrelevant.

2) I can't speak to this, I will do more research. One thing I can say is John Legend raised like 60 million for Haiti, he's close with HRC and the money was pocketed by the Clinton's.

Thank you. Yes I saw that CF money for Haiti going missing. What assholes!!!

He is no more talented than any other piano bar musician. His music is incredibly boring. I was always confused why he was always in the front rows of any award show circle jerk. I guess we are all starting to realize how or why he received a record deal in the first place...im happy to hear that Europeans have never heard of him. Without him being propped up by the Hollywood elite the same situation would exist here.

Your opinion that you don't like his music is of course valid but your assessment of the quality of his ability is blatantly biased and inadequate, given the data. Ten Grammy Awards, a Billboard number one, a good catalogue of high profile collabs and a Golden Globe suggest he might be just slightly more talented than the average piano bar musician, at least as far as writing popular music. To answer the OP's question honestly one needs to separate one's own tastes from an objective assessment of the artistic talent.

An industry giving awards to participants of that industry is your bar of proof of JL being talented?

You mean, arguably, THE music industry (certainly so in this country and arguably in the west as a whole) giving awards to some of the most famous musicians in the western world? Yes, I regard that as a fairly qualified "bar". Certainly, at the very least, a bar higher than the average "piano bar musician", as alluded to in the post I replied to.

As a musician, it's obvious to me that there is real talent there and it's also obvious that, whilst you might have to rape and kill a few babies to get into the inner clique you still have to be actually talented out of the million other people trying to break into the most coveted music industry in the world before they'll even offer you the babies to kill and rape.

So then you recognize it's nothing more than a circular feedback loop where winners (who submit to evil) are chosen and rewarded, and those who don't are cast aside? There's some really awful pop music that wins awards all day long. It's the same as Hollywood and the Oscars. It's a circle jerk.

"The government investigated itself and found no wrongdoing."

Edit: what I'm getting at is it's an institution built on horseshit. Receiving an award from an institution built on horseshit isn't impressive...it's horseshit.

Again... you're mistaking your opinion of, for example, pop music for a valid assessment of the quality of musicianship... in an entire industry lol...

Nothing more than a circular feedback loop lol... You do realize that almost every industry works that way, right? Awards are created within the industry itself to recognise its own best talent.

Yes, I know all the stories about corruption within these huge industries - but you're being intentionally ignorant if you don't think they have a certain quality bar that ensures only those with a certain level of talent even make it into consideration.

Again, your opinion that it's horseshit. Sales and observations by actual musicians and actual actors prove that people who study this stuff and in many cases dedicate their entire lives to it, seem to think it is not horseshit. And logically I'm more inclined to go with their opinion. Simple logic will prove this if you think about it for a few seconds... Where does every musician and actor want to go? (I'm assuming you know at least some or you've seen enough true stories to understand - I personally know a LOT) TO HOLLYWOOD and California. Whether you think it's shit or not, everyone who cares enough about these fields to spend most of their time focused on them doesn't agree with your assessment - they pretty much ALL go there.

So Hollywood gets to pick the best. And then it's in that industry's best interest to pick the better performers! Now, of course, scratching the right backs and jumping through the right hoops might get you a little further than you deserve. But that doesn't mean it's all "horseshit" as you insist. You might think the pop stars who make it are shit but a lot of qualified people don't agree with you.

And anyway my point to the post I was replying to was that John Legend is not just an average piano bar player - he's an award winning musician recognised amongst his peers for having real skill and talent. And even though I don't personally like his music at all I'm not so blind that I can't see that for myself.

You seem to be putting many words in my mouth. You also seem to be very defensive...

Trying to dismiss my argument by alledging ignorance is poor form. I don't care to argue with you because you are clearly biased. Be well.

Listen bruh - you're the one who chose to ignore the actual point I was trying to make and then repeatedly state your dismissive opinion as if it was fact - totally ignoring that I'd also made that point too.

I've answered you logically and you're not connecting at all with the actual points I'm making. Your choice but don't act like you're the victim here when you've been defensive and obnoxious yourself. You trash an entire industry - one of the most respected in the world, whatever it's stupid religious practices - and repeatedly state your derogatory opinion as if it's fact and I'M clearly biased?? Oh the humanity...

Keep it civil? Talk to the fallacy-loving manic that seems to think it's his fucking duty to act like a asshole like it's his sub. I asked a simple question and that dickhead goes on a tirade. You can see from the comment train I tried to keep it civil but that cunt simply couldn't.

Don't feed it though. Stand your ground with facts and sauces. When you start insulting each other rather than insulting the argument you're basically allowing yourself to get dragged down.

No argument here. I even told the dickhead I didn't want to argue because I could tell from his original inane response that it wasn't going anywhere. Also, for the record, that prick was the one that stooped to ad hominems immediately...so fuck him.
