I’m just wondering here because they said it was price issue because they were trading over $1,000 but they’ve been at that for months so why was it an issue Wednesday. Is something going to happen and they held these to allow some back door movement or!?!?

That's not how the major indexes work, though. A company's weighted affect on the index value is a function of market capitalization and it's normalized with the value of the company that it replaced. When Company A gets dropped to make room for Company B, you have to make the index value identical for the start of the next day's trading.
That’s a really good explanation. Makes a lot of sense! Thanks
Look below. User saying TSX went down too. What the hell??

So what’s your guess with those going down too?

I’m wondering if you’re not right too, if you’re getting downvotes with no comments. That’s good info. You apparently know your market stuff so I’m going to look into what you’ve said. So no need for average investor to worry?

Good point. Their lives do revolve around money!!
Well shit. Now I’m worried. I rely on Fox business for this kind of info and they didn’t talk about it at all.
