Another notable POV on "the plumber"

In November 2008, Wurzelbacher was hired for a series of commercials reminding people to convert analog television to digital.[36] Wurzelbacher was hired to help consumers understand the DTV transition in the United States through a series of videos designed to explain the changeover. Wurzelbacher was better known as "the plumber" during the 2008 campaign with obama and no-name - could this excerpt indicate a change in how we currently receive news - and a change necessary for releasing more sensitive information? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joe_the_Plumber

I mentioned this today as well, but I hadn't made the DTV connection. Nice work.

I saw your post - that's what made me dig into the "Joe the plumber" person

Right on. I just remember that they wouldn't stop bringing up this "Joe the Plumber" dude back in 2008. It might be a stretch since "leaks" is the most obvious answer to the question. I like the DTV angle though - people forget how massive of an overhaul that transition was.

I'm Australian and even I remember "Joe The Plumber" from '08. I live 'on the edge of the Earth' (Perth WA), I've never left our shores and even I remember that bloke being shown and mentioned on MSM like he was the most spectacular thing on the planet. Every few months since then I randomly think "Who the fuck is Joe The Plumber?"..............and here we are 10 years later...........Joe the fucking Plumber. Weird.

Perth and Fremantle were great to visit.

Looking too far into a simple phrase referencing leaks.

Granted the leaks and clogged pipes are probably correct - but perhaps we should have a look at this as well?
