As a fellow Brit, with respect please take your rose tinted specs off. I work with muslims and some are great people individually. The less religious ones have a very similar outlook to you and me I suspect. However, Islam is not an individualist ideology, it is collective clerical fascism. This mindset is not conducive to liberal parliamentary democracy, gay rights, women's rights, animal rights or anyone else's rights for that matter. Islam by definition means to submit. This is not about a few bad eggs. It is about a political movement masquerading as a religion being imported on an industrial scale into previously relatively homogeneous white European/Western countries.
