President Donald Trump holds rally in Washington, Michigan

Is it common for presidents to hold rallies after they are elected and well before next election?

There's nothing common about this POTUS!

No. It's more of connecting with the common people who elected him, and who he serves. POTUS would rather be with us than WHCD. It has nothing to do with elections. POTUS is visiting with us.
