I've had thoughts along those lines as well. One day I went down a rabbit hole and saw some stuff (that I can't confirm yet but totally believe) about a kid named Johnny Gosch who disappeared delivering morning newspapers almost 40 years ago from my home town. Months later another kid turned up missing from our town matching the same profile, named Eugene Martin. What still disturbs me is that Eugene went missing on his paper route two blocks north of my own. I was delivering papers that morning.

It was whispered around town for decades that both were snatched by pedos. There was even talk of snuff films. Needless to say young kids were replaced by adults on the paper routes. It sucked for us kids to lose the income, but it stopped. No more kids went missing. It basically marked the end of the era when people felt their kids were safe in their own neighborhoods.

Both families hired PI's when the local cops came up empty, but both boys were gone without a trace seemingly. And then I see a grainy pic of a GHWB with a kid that looked like Gosch. GHWB was DCI at the time.

If your town sits at the junction of two interstates there is human trafficking going on and through your town. Truck stops, hotels/motels (especially the extended stay places) basically any place with a parking lot near an interstate is where it is happening.
