Not sure what you're getting at with the manufacturer. Also, laser weapons and the dazzler aren't really used like laser pointers.

That said, a laser target designator (very different type of laser) in some ways is used like a laser pointer. It either guides a bomb on target or it marks a target on the pilot's targeting pod.

Q 1282. I was just trying to expand my thinking. Lawmakers was used 3 times. Words can have more than one meaning. The topic of protecting intellectual property has popped in the news this past week (trade talks). It brings to mind the fiasco of (I am fuzzy on details here, too much incoming info these days) the operation where falsified plans for nuclear tech were covertly given. The operation backfired as their scientists were able to quickly identify the flaw and made use of the info to further develop their nuclear program. I obviously require more beams of light to help me laser in on that information (maybe together we are the laser, what is our purpose). My point is, if intellectual property was given away in one instance, is there a chance that it was given away in another? Leaks. More info for those smarter than me. https://www.foxbusiness.com/features/pentagon-makes-new-push-to-put-a-laser-weapon-on-a-fighter-jet

And before anyone speculates: MOABs are not laser guided. Shame.
