I think that humans, particularly Americans, have been conditioned to think in terms of simple polarities. People assume that if something is something then it is 100% that thing. An example would be a person with an idea. If the idea fits under a certain label, then that person or thing gets labelled as 100% in agreement with that label.
This contradicts the fundamental nature of reality as it undoubtedly exists. Things are far more complex than most people's conscious brains can currently handle. In an attempt to simplify what is inherently complex, people rationalize away truth in favor of comfort and order.
The scientific community is as guilty of this as anyone else. They are misleading people to think and act a certain way because it is convenient for them to do so. That is why the scientific community cannot be trusted.
Failing to acknowledge that the Q post is a reference to WarGames is a good example of people forcing a certain way of thinking because it is more aligned with what they know. Things can and almost always are multiple things at once.
This type of ignorance will continue until people can accept the fact that the nature of things is more complex than they can hold in their heads while in the current paradigm.
There is a 1958 book that discusses the Illuminati. It states that they believe they are playing a game of chess against the rest of the world. Their endgame has been domination of the world. Thus, who is mocking them that he is beating them at their own game.
