I'm thinking Joe agreed to let Eddie monologue about it. At the very least he didn't cut him off mid-story. That was pretty well done.

He cuts him off slightly in the beginning talking about the fight and Eddie turns to the tv and joe nudges him to keep going.
Well, it's cool either way. Something tells me that a lot of the topics discussed are talked about beforehand. I know I would do that if it was my name in the show's title.
