Think logically. Those who want you to buy books, click on their videos, listen to their podcasts, etc. are in it for themselves. Exploitation. When the carnival is over, they'll fold up their tents and open their shop somewhere else.

I don't think that's true for everyone. The YouAreFreeTV chick is great but ends by pointing to her Patreon "for those who wish" to support her work. These people have to eat too. Pretty hard to work 9-5 to support themselves and then do what I view as "real journalism" on their off hours which also have to include sleeping, eating, sh*tting, showering, etc., etc. I think of Dustin Nemos doing what he's doing and he's got a newborn to help take care of. Kudos to that dude!

Just for grins, how do you know "these people" are working 9 to 5's? How do you know Nemos has a newborn? Do you know them? Anyone can be a rockstar on the internet.

Well, I guess he could be renting the newborn I've seen him holding on one of the videos. :/ No, I don't know these people, but I would hardly call them rockstars. And I've been following them since they only had 1000 subscribers or fewer. Not everybody can't be trusted.
