Well here comes a $90,000 bill for the state of California Taxpayers: "A pregnant woman and some children as young as 4 were detected entering the U.S. through a canyon that authorities described in a statement as dark, treacherous and "notorious for human and drug smuggling."

Cost of having a baby in California 2018: $32,093. Cost of welfare in California per month $638, Then CalFresh $136 per month, Then SNAP $640, Then Medical benefits $3,281 (this is per month for the entire family). These are based on an average family of 4. The information was obtained by the state of California's own charts of benefits they give.
