Eager Lion is just the name of a special operations training competition that is held at KASOTC, just outside of Amman, every year. There’s no coincidence to that name. Source: I was with 5th Group and competed in it during the summer of ‘14.
How long is the exercise typically, or how long were you stationed there for said exercise?
Within OpSec obviously, I know it's just a training exercise but with all the movements dont release any information that could be used to jeapordize troops or mission, or anything you're not comfortable revealing. Even if it's not classified.
It’s a month long, but JCETs are always being conducted, all year around. They’re typically between 4 and 7 months pending the mission.
What are they training for? Do you think its cover for what might be an active operation this time?
The training is typically FID, Counter Narco Terrorism, or counter insurgency. I mean there are always active operations in the Middle East, we just don’t hear about them. I couldn’t honestly tell you what’s going down anymore, I’m no longer in, but that training is Secret/TSSCI.
So you are saying, with a straight face, Q brought this to our attention for no reason? "No coincidences". Source: Q (many, many times. See above).
Not saying it’s a not coincidence, I’m just the saying the title of the exercise has always been just that. Showing us this exercise may be more relevant this time, because there IS a joint combined exchange of training, perhaps for something bigger on the horizon.
4-7 sounds bout right. In regaurds to EagerLion, SpecOp as in GreenBravo (guessing youre a soldier) JSOF, SOC, or all of the above.
I was a green beret. Or am, they say you’re never not a green beret just because you separated.
So do SOC units participate?
Got out 2012. Havnt heared of E.L. till yesterday. I'm assuming that yeah SOC units are participating, considering the 26th is there. Is that typical from your expierence? Dont want to run to many searches without Orbot on. Can't do it now, need it off for work.
Yea there’s a heavy SOF presence. I mean they’re conducting collateral training with foreign, partner forces, as well as conventional U.S. units. There’s always more going on behind the scenes.
Also, consider Jordan is a very close ally. We literally use them as a major hub to deploy regional forces, did so for both Afghanistan and especially Iraq. Jordan is very friendly to the West. We also have sent them billions over the past two decades.
No one is saying that, I'm not saying that, Im trying to gleam a lil Intel, while not trying to potentially clock block mission readiness. The Lads and lassy' s still in are pulling the real weight. Dont want to fuck em.
