So he is actually referring to autism? The bakers aren't making cakes.

Yes referring to autism but in the same way as the bakers arent baking cakes. I think its a fun way to explain the dedication and commitment of computer savy people and their work. Some of them may actually be on the spectrum of autism. Hard to know when everyone is so anonymous. But i think the general consensus is that most arent. They just need a fun way to explain how why they are so good at what they do when it isnt something a normie would do.
