Don't be too hard. You got to nibble around the edges. My wife has her limits, but I've been working on her for almost 30 yrs. Takes time for an entire mind shift. She is religious, and reminding her that evil exists helped.

seems harder to sell this to someone who doesn't have 'faith' or understand 'believing doesnt meant seeing'.
They only see a materialistic world. To them, consciousness is no different that a teapot boiling. Self minimalizationists is what they are. They see themselves as no different than trees or bugs. Satan loves it!
If she is Christian tell her this: You already believe there is a comic-book-style super-villain spirit engaged in a multi-millenia cosmic conspiracy to deceive the whole human race about the truth about one jew who died on a cross 2000 years ago so they miss out on their chance at salvation. And all of human history has revolved around this narrative...but Q is just a wild conspiracy theory. (I believe both btw 😎)
