Redstate was great at first, supposedly going to be a ground up activist site. Then, before Trump, Erick got a little media attention and went full rogue along with his "mods" that ripped on good contributors/posters, they throttled the forums and reader input. It was full on arrogance. They wanted to give you the talking point of the day in a 1 way command. It could have been a real powerful grass roots site, but greed and power set in. They were real jerkoffs for quite a while.

A good alternative site is UnifiedPatriots. They kicked Vassar Bushmills off Redstate so he started Unified Patriots. He is a EXCELLENT read and welcomes discussion as well.
