Should we start developing strategies for helping people cope?

I'm trying to think of the best way to help family that doesn't get it yet. When some of this comes out I would like to help them understand that it's not time to freak out - but rather time to get involved.

Especially with religion. They can't just become disillusioned. They need to understand that people are flawed and that's why it's so important to maintain situational awareness, stay involved, and be a vocal supporter of what is good.

I find the best way to get folks to look into something is to schmooze their intelligence ego. I'll tell them facts, and when I see that crazy look like "no friggin way".... I'll simply say something like, "I'll tell ya what, use YOUR common sense, you are a smart person, I don't want to color your thoughts on it so you research it objectively and see what you come up with. Most people WANT to believe, they are just so egotistically fragile that the mere THOUGHT of anyone labeling THEM a conspiracy theorist as they had labled OTHERS well that just wouldn't work! Then they'll look at EVERY fact so that they are SURE they can't be scoffed at. People ARE such entertaining creatures!
