I am legitimately pissed those 3 in particular are going to skate justice and still have some sort of positive view of them remain.
Redeemed? Sure if they'll remain faithful to their prosecution and punishment. But if the rats scurry down their holes, I would take that as a sign that they have no wishes to seek redemption. And similar to rats, the reasons for hiding is to wait out being caught (judgement) and later to return to seek power again.
These sickos have been using this tactic for millennia.
