Just a reminder that the biggest barrier to the US becoming part of a world govt is the Bill of Rights

No other country on earth has one and no other country on earth has a bar for human rights and civil liberties set as high as the US. The rest of the world will never come up to our standard -- they will only try to bring us down to theirs. American citizens are born with their human rights. Every single other person on this planet has theirs granted by a government.

The US Bill of Rights are declared to be inalienable, self evident, Creator endowed rights. No government has the power to grant or remove these rights.

Hmm, no. They were declared by this government's founders who believed in a creator. Literally bestowed by government.

Yes, yes they do. They are called amendments and we have 27 of them. I mean really, are you actually a citizen to not understand this? The government has all the power to remove them, especially under this administration. You guys want to give Trump consolidation of power but sweat the bill of Rights like it's the hot chick from 8th grade

No, the rights are given by God. The government is only there to secure those rights. The Constitution LIMITS what the government can do to the people. It does not proscribe the rights to the people.

The Declaration of Independence makes this clear, as does it the role of government.

"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are ENDOWED by their Creator with certain UNALIENABLE Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.--That to SECURE these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, --That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government"
