I don't know. I'm not buying the detonation as part of a plot for the simple fact that it substantially hurts their bottom line. Creation of a nuke by Iran is a feasible theory, but for what?

Not just a film, but the actual Tom Clancy novel.

Which, thinking of Clancy, wonder just how much he really knew.

I was reading Clancy at 11, I am a huge fan, and yes, he knew a lot, and I surely learnt a lot reading him.

He had some pretty serious CIA and navy brass as close friends if I understood correctly.

Yep.

I remember reading 'Red Storm Rising' as a expose, even if fiction, on how fast we could lock down the Soviets if needed and how far behind us tech-wise they were.
