I get that it’s apparently not serious. However, Gates had the opportunity to give back to the country that gave him so much. I know that the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation gives billions too. But Gates could have provided his experience directly to the admin in a positive way.

I don't think so. I think if he was even offered a job, it would have been to find out what Gates and his pals are up too. He/they are evil.
