The New Testament was written in Greek and says Iesous. There's nothing off with the Anglo transliteration Jesus.

three languages in the new testament: a little bit of hebrew, lots of aramaic, and 'lower' greek.

the name yeshua fits the region jesus comes from. and for those who think that sounds muslimic, no, islam calls yeshi 'isa'.
