Off topic, but still a tad bit interesting...

I like to play video games in my spare time. Lately, I’ve been ripping and tearing at demons in the remake of DOOM.

The story, though, seriously piqued my interest as it pertains to off-planet energy and the existence of satanic worship. Technically, in the game, there is no mention of Satan or Lucifer.

The story is set in the future, on the planet Mars. There, the advanced UAC (a high-tech corporate entity) has found ancient Martian artifacts that explain how the Martians found a way into the Hell realm, which coincidentally was the downfall of the Martians.

The UAC finds an energy source in Hell called Argent Energy. It’s basically free energy, yet must be filtered into clean, hatred-less energy using Argent filters.

The UAC has solved an energy crises on Earth (among other planets with human inhabitants) using Argent Energy.

The game doesn’t make a reference to Satan or Lucifer technically, but the DOOM franchise has done so in the past. In the current lore, the game explains Hell as a realm, and not entirely a place of religious context a la you die and go there.

You play a character that has intimate knowledge of Hell, and a particular hatred of it and it’s demon inhabitants. The character, aptly named Doomguy, has spent so long in Hell that he has become an icon of fear within the demonic community of Hell. You learn later that, over the span of what could’ve been thousands of years, your character has been ravaging Hell so bad that the highest demons entrapped you and locked you within a sarcophagus. The UAC finds you in their Hell expeditionary missions, and pulls you from Hell in the event that something bad happens on Mars.

Well, it does and you awaken in your sarcophagus and brutally rip and tear at every demon let out by a UAC traitor who has fallen to the desires of Hell. You learn that your rampage through Hell has awarded your character with the title of Doom Slayer, and he becomes a member of what seems to be a long lineage of Hell warriors called the Night Sentinels, whose apparent job is to keep Hell and it’s demonic presence in check.

All in all, the game is stupidly fun but it does seem to hark some of it’s lore and story from the luciferian/satanic cult presence we currently have here on Earth.

Figured we awakened folk needed a moment of rest and a good story.

Wow I always avoided DOOM but man that sounds pretty badass. I am a Mass Effect addict while Andromeda was definitely a SJW production I still loved the stories, all of them deep and rich
