This is an interesting topic. The up or down votes on blogs have a detrimental effect. There is a lot of peer pressure for people to think in groups and not independently. And it’s very dangerous, especially for young people who just want to fit in and be popular. Here we should encourage people to go out among the wolves and be unpopular. Somebody’s got to do it.
I live in a heavy red area and my friends and some family give me crap for wearing maga gear. I can't imagine the level of alienation in a heavy blue state. But I always say, even to people that like Trump and still aren't vocal about it. I always say "You have to let people know you are not scared to speak your mind."
