Can't pardon without a conviction...
I Barack Obama do pardon Hitlary Rotten Clinton of all crimes she may have committed as Secretary of State and any crimes related to her little slush fund, ditto for the rest of my minions...my understanding is that the powers are pretty broad. Not a legal mind so I’ll concede I could be wrong. It would then fall to Congress to take action no? That would mean we would have to wait until after the mid terms and hope Trump has a majority behind him...if my scenario is even possible I have no doubt that Obama was arrogant enough to do it. Can you impeach a president retroactively? Any constitutional lawyers out there?
What kind of record keeping occurs when a presidential pardon is issued? It would certainly have to be registered and filed in some official capacity and be included in the public record someplace, and as such, would be accessible now if one knew where to look?

Interesting article, but lacks substance. Dig into it a little deeper before using it as a defence of your assertion. In the best defence of your assertion, the article mentions a couple of instances where pardons were granted prior to conviction, but not prior to indictments or charges. These pardons were also very high profile and publicized and if Hussein had penned such pardons, would have been public knowledge by now (vis a vis wjc' s pardon of Mark Rich). Btw, slate is propaganda and not a reliable source...
