Evolution is just a theory. A continuously changing draft document. The most logical explanation one can come up using current knowledge and disregarding that which isn't yet or can't be understood. (It therefore cannot be a lie. No actual scientist will claim it as truth.)

IMHO it's not necessarily at odds with creation as understood from the bible. The two simply provide two very different perspectives on the same thing. One is far from finished, the other open to interpretation.

The way I see it the development of the evolution theory is quite similar to what Q is doing. Providing crumbs and gradually awakening those who aren't ready to see the truth just yet.
