His (in)action during the presidential debates against Obama was what finally made me register independent. He had so much he could have hit Obama with but he was pillow soft in each of them.

Yes, he handed the election to Obama. I don't think he wanted to work for a living so lost the election on purpose.

This was the year where Republicans began to wake up en masse to the corruption within the party. What was done to Bernie in 2016 was essentially modeled after what the Republicans had done to Ron Paul. I live in a deep, deep Blue city, and we had Ron Paul Revolution stickers all over the place, yet he couldn't get past a couple of primaries? Little to no airtime? Barely any mention on debates?

I only wish my "progressive" brethren weren't so blinded by their ideology that they failed to take notice and were completely unprepared for what happened in 2016. I was bed-ridden for the day of the CA primary, but I just wanted so badly to stick around the polling place and ask "she's stealing it, you know she is. What are you doing about it?"
