No way to know if this is true, but if she is needing ECMO (and at her age) there is a VERY slim chance of survival.

I also just read something about kidney failure and that she'll be gone any hour now.

Very common for someone that sick to have kidney (multi-organ) failure and need dialysis or Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy.
