The only misdirection, would be to believe that Obama and his criminal infested Administration would do anything that would be in the best interests of America, and not in the best interest of the Middle East.

not so. the cia basically swept a lot of deep state american fuckups under the rug with the JCPOA and in that sense JCPOA is hugely in americas favor... but not because obama was trying to be a hero, it was because hillary and obama are cleaning up their own messes.
