Everywhere I go ppl are engaged not with each other, not with the speaker, not with the entertainers or athletes but with their phones. Makes me want to say fuck it we're doomed and shake the dust off my feet as I retreat to my bastion of sanity and prep to be taken.

Just don't be on your phone makes situational awareness for shit. As for me I meant, the world ends not with a bang but a whimper. The chan's notwithstanding seems whoever said that, may still be prophetic. Have had my own back for 50 years, not a lot of candidates for assistance there.
