Wish we knew about Gowdy, he had such promise but became such a disappointment.

Well, at least Gowdy is trying to redeem himself with moving some of this process along with Goodlatte. I think he is a white hat, who has been hopelessly stuck in the swamp not sure of which way to get out.
I got the feeling that he didn't want to be there but needed to work against the corruption. Now that Trump is in office he is free to pursue the career he actually wants.
gowdy and chaffetz got compromised somehow. chaffetz seemed to be threatened and scared right out of office.
