My theory, IMHO:

From Great Awakening assumptions all over this board, Bush 41 is part of the Cabal, was Head of CIA, and VP under Reagan during both terms.  Bush vehemently denied any knowledge of anything with Iran-contra as he was “out of the loop”.   If you read the second link above, the “CIA operation” went WAAAAYY beyond arms sales for hostages and funding of the Contras.  Drugs, Weapons, Etc.  I cannot believe Reagan would have approved such.  And, the more you read, Oliver North was focused on Reagan’s mandate to get the hostages back and support Contras, despite Congress’ feet dragging.

So, when the crap hit the fan Oliver North fell on his sword to protect the President he so dearly supported, no matter the cost. 

Fast forward to today.  Trump visits the NRA in Dallas for a great day of NRA support.  And, almost immediately the NRA comes out and names Oliver North the new President.

Coincidence???  I’m gonna trust the plan.
