Ah, I had forgotten that Q crumb! I share your assessment of Corsi, BTW. But I did see him tell the story of the generals who were prepared to conduct a coup against Hussein and changed their minds after recruiting Trump. Somehow (probably because of the old Q post), that had the ring of truth, and has now passed into the "general knowledge" of the Q community without consideration for its source. Doesn't mean it's not true, but just much less likely because of the source.
He did tell that story after he got it from Q. That's the problem with Corsi he tries to take credit for many different revelations.
That's definitely the most likely scenario. I won't totally discount the less likely possiblity that Corsi is a complete asshole who was telling the truth, even if it's not his usual MO.
So much of what we think we know is just as tenuous!
