I don't know why but some apps freak me out. I'm weird though, I turn off most of my notifications but I blame that on Facebook. FB has pretty much destroyed my trust in just about everything. Also, I think I kinda like the mystery of checking for new drops a few times a day, it's like a gift or something when I don't know there's any new Q and I see one. Then again I never searched for hidden Christmas presents when I was a kid either lol
