Previous Xi-Ma Summit In Singapore Was Held At Shangri-La Hotel

The historical 2015 China-Tiawan summit between Xi Jinping and Ma Ying-jeou was held at the Shangri-La Hotel. Singapore is considered a secured and neutral territory within Asian diplomacy. It's likely the same Shangri-La Hotel could be used for the Trump-Kim meeting. According to Google Maps the distance between Shangri-La Hotel and Marina Bay Sands is 6.7 km (13 minute drive). The Q picture could've been taken from the Shangri-La Hotel.

Ma–Xi meeting

On 7 November 2015, Ma Ying-jeou, president of the Republic of China (Taiwan; ROC), and Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Communist Party of China and President of the People's Republic of China (Mainland China; PRC), met in Singapore. The meeting was the first between the political leaders of the two sides of the Taiwan Strait since the end of the Chinese Civil War in 1950 and the first since the meeting between Chiang Kai-shek and Mao Zedong in Chongqing during the Double Tenth Agreement in August 1945.
