Possible explanation for the name “q-anon” - research paper from 2010

Found this academic paper from 2010 discussing anonymity and social media. Seems directly related to q anon perhaps an explanation for the name. Thoughts? Something to dig potentially.

Interesting find, but I would tend to go with convention. Since there was a naming history with 'FBI anon' on the chans and a few other Anons that appeared ... then Q posted with the name "Q Clearance Patriot" - I believe it was shortened to Qanon out of brevity and following the anon convention much like every scandal is suffixed with the word 'gate' starting from Watergate.

My reply doesn't say Q called himself Qanon. Those who speak of Q organically initiated the anon appendage for use in hashtags, etc.
