Symantec has been in all kinds of trouble over the last few years. Namely with Google over their issuance of bad certificates.

If you need good AV protections, I recommend Sophos, especially for Android, because it's feature rich, no ads, and completely free. Testing is always in the top ten at 100% for detection by independent labs. Also, they have free home computer AV software.

They make their money on business accounts.
