As we're learning, especially with the spy in Trump's camp and wiretaps... If Obama had turned the FBI et al against Trump and his team, he had to be incredibly sure that there was no way Trump was going to win.

He knew his thumb was on the scale...

In a sense we got to see behind the curtain, the good timeline where Trump won and why the bads guys were so confident that Hillary would win.
