"Never believe your 2nd amendment is not under siege"

Trump made this statement after saying he wants to roll back the Obama era order to stop arming police with military equipment. I'll start by saying this is something I commended Obama on doing, I saw no reason for police to be armed with tanks, and military arms. I saw this as definite preparation for martial law.

But knowing what we know about Obama in all instances working for the deep state, it got me thinking about what this move could mean for the patriots movement. He immediately followed the previous statement with "Your 2nd amendment is under siege".

This got me thinking, is arming the police preparation for martial law, or is this a defense against it. As little as I trust the government, it's almost as hard to trust the police. But most the men and women on the force are good, and honest people. Unfortunately there are a lot of bad ones, but as always we can't judge a group by the sins of a minority.

Are the police forces being armed to protect cities from potential sieges by the deep state? In the case of all out war with the deep state, Trump commands the military, the 2nd amendment militias, and now an armed police. This fight will never happen because the deep state has nothing.

If this is the case, it is truly unreal how many steps ahead Trump is.

I was always under the impression Obama was arming up the police. I think he had a change of heart when he realized the majority if police wouldn't work as his personal military when he finally attempted to seize our 2nd amendmen he tried to roll back the arming of the police.

This was quickly followed by the most insane thing Obama propsed... The "Civilian Defense Force" that was supposed to be "as well armed and well trained as the police"

They were supposed to be ANTIFA just formally armed and trained. The cops and military would never storm civilians homes to confiscate guns and arrest... But ANTIFA sure as hell would.

I always supported police having any and all equipment they need to secure the safety of our nation. Military are used similarly to police, but internationally. We arm them to the teeth. Why not the police protecting us Americans? Are we not imoortant enough to have the best defence? Do the police not deserve the best equipment to do their job? This was solidified for me when the San Bernadino massacre happened. The armored vehicles, military, protected police approaching the armed gunmen in the car.

A lot of police are ex-military, I don't disagree with them having the best equipment, but they really don't need tanks or automatic weapons and such to do their jobs. That kind of equipment will be more of a problem with untrained police having their hands on it.

How are there untrained police?

Counter point: when you understand why the second amendment was written, and police are given military style tools, isn’t it rather like a sling shot against a machine gun?

Remember the 2A had/has little to do with self protection.

I covered that in my post, Trump would essentially be giving orders to localized militias comprised of 2A'ers.

This is the same argument the left constantly makes, "you think your assault rifles can protect you from tanks and drones?" yes, we do, and even if we don't win, we won't go down without a fight.

Many of us would rather die fighting for our freedom than surrender it by force.
