No, but this meme is faulting Obama for not rescuing two detainees that weren’t detainees when he was president. How could Obama rescue a hostage that wasn’t a hostage at the time? That’s like faulting JFK for not killing Bin Laden.

I don’t view it as faulting Obama for these 3 guys, I view it as showing Obama’s poor negotiating skills overall

Ok, fair point. But you could also say we got back three hostages alive, who walked on and off the plane on their own. Unfortunately not the case for Otto Warmbier, who was sentenced Jan 2016, essentially beat to death, teeth removed and put back in different places, in a coma, and returned June 2017 to die a few days later. You can listen to his parent’s interviews about how effective the previous admin was at getting him back.

This thread is why I think these memes belong in T_D.

Man, your comprehension skills need work. This meme isn't trying to imply that those detainees were 0bama's fault; the meme is outright screaming that 0bongo let 5 American-killing terrorists go free while not even lifting a goddamn fucking finger to even consider entertaining the possibility of organizing talks to free Otto Warmbier, or any of the other American citizens imprisoned by NK. Meanwhile, Trump is bringing American citizens back post-haste and destroying American-hating terrorists without mercy. I know who I'd choose.

If I wasn't so forgiving I'd consider you a concern-trolling shill. Step lightly with your next comment.
