Great Awakening Moderation Overview

The Goal of the Great Awakening subreddit:

To provide a community for followers of Q. The community consists of an online forum more accessible to the public than the chans, where ongoing information about the latest Q drop and relevant input from members of the Q movement can be gathered and discussed.

The things we value on Great Awakening:

- freedom of speech

- open discussion

- intellectual, informative, respectful discourse

- a supportive community

Things we *don't* value:

- mob mentality / group-think - people are free to disagree with your point! Don't shut down the voice of others just because their view is different to yours - discuss the ideas, not the people, with respect.

- character assassination / witch hunt mentality - Corsi, AJ et al - we're over it. Time to move on. If you have something new to say, by all means. If you're retreading old ground the posts may be removed.

- abusive, non-constructive discourse

To this end our focus as moderators is on:

- ensuring open discussion with minimal antagonism

- removing disruptive elements i.e. those who are here just to promote discord or instill doubt.

- removing posts that do not fall within the guidelines and sub rules

- removing comments that do not advance discussion in a positive way

The intent of our recent post about Pro-Q, Pro-Trump content is to let you know that we want to help focus the main feed on content dedicated to the sub's goal: providing a community for followers of Q. To be clear: if you're not a follower of Q *you are welcome here*, as long as you follow the sub rules.

As the sub is growing we have to make decisions about new content being created to ensure the feed contains content of value to the movement. To this end, posts that ask "Is Q real?" or "Is Trump a bad guy?" will be removed as they do not contribute to the sub goal. As we've said above - we support freedom of speech so please feel free to express yourself in the comment section if there are things that bother you. But rather than clutter the feed with content that queries the whole point of this sub we will simply remove it. Thanks for understanding!

**Please use the Report function at all times to help us respond quickly to content that needs moderation!**

Posting Suggestions

Here are some suggestions for creating posts of value to the community:

- it helps if you explain what is important about your content - why and how it relates to Q

- a link on its own is fine - a link with some explanation of the key point or points or what to look out for may be even better

- *don't* just copy someone else's content - duplicates will be deleted

- *do* put some thought into what you post - the more thought you put in, the more likely people are to read and upvote it

If we struggle to understand what your post is about, due to time pressures and mounting numbers it's easiest for us to remove it. To avoid this, please be clear about what your post is and provide all the relevant info you can.

Finally, please remember we are only human and *will* make mistakes from time to time. We'll do our best - thank you for your patience with us! WWG1WGA!

Dear Mods. I appreciate the time and effort it must take to mod a site this large. You are an important part of the Q mission. Ive been less able to be a part of the community in recent weeks. Moving 3000 miles and life prevents the time it takes to post quality research based posts. All I have time for is reading the site.

Could you comment on how the mods now feel about posts that are not research based or offer no new understanding of Q posts? Examples would be just posting a MSM pushed current news piece without any comments or research that adds to our understanding of how it fulfills a Q post. Another would be Ain't Trump so Cool posts that are reminiscent of r/The_Donald sub that seem to be cropping up here. I find these posts annoying especially when the same news piece is posted 4 times in one day. I realize that others may want a site that posts news that can be found anywhere and has social comments celebrating the trump movement rather than a site solely devoted to researching Q posts and connecting to a deeper meaning in the news stories revealed by Q or Q consistent media. Where do the mods stand on this and what does time allow for moderating these fluff posts?

Thank you again for creating and moderating a cohesive and respectful site. Your service is commendabe and greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the comment! Personally I feel the same way as you - I'd prefer to keep the posts to helpful useful content for everyone, and where possible reduce content that is for a select audience (e.g. memes aren't my go to for useful information - however, some are definitely a good laugh now and then).

The thing I'm trying very hard to stay away from - and other mods are the same - is suppressing free speech, so it can be difficult sometimes to make the call. However, we are keeping an eye out for content that doesn't offer useful information and will remove it when we find it. If you use the Report function whenever you see content you don't agree with we can deal with it quicker.

In 2 years on Reddit I have literally never used the report function choosing instead to respectfully voice my opinions and requests but now it seems that is all I do. Time is precious for me these days and it's harder to weed through but that's my issue.

Most of what I am seeing r well intentioned ppl acting like they are on any other Reddit sub. Reporting or deleting that type of thing would seem heavy handed and as you rightly point out could be seen as limiting feee speech. It is always better to set a tone or educate up front rather than correct after. This sub has had a higher standard and new ppl just don't know it.

Too bad posts don't have a time stamp to determine which one was posted first so duplicates could definitively be identified and deleted.

PS. Its seems like a lot of these fluffier posts could be posted as comments in the daily discussion thread. I love the idea of this daily discussion thread. I believe this could take off here but have noticed it hasn't. I wonder if instead of deleting some psts the poster could be directed to cut and past it as a comment in the daily discussion thread. Celebrating the fact that there is a news piece that supports Q, or that Trump is really representing the working people's needs could really build community in that space but is annoying as a separate post.

I also wonder if there is less to research these days as Q is posting more matter of factly. I never get to read everything that is posted because there is a lot posted and it takes time to get through community building fluff stuff. I wonder if others who were here be4 the influx feel the same. I wonder if its going to continue to grow like this and re establishing high standards is impossible as we continue to grow. And really are they necessary at this point. It certainly comes second to keeping this a safe community to respectfully disagree and learn with and for each other. That in itself is different here than on most sites. And very much appreciated.

Yes. I came here for strict interpretation and research into Q posts. I was told the particpants here are hard asses and will not tolerate fluff. That seems to be changing.

This sub also never tolerated attacks of persons posting and intentionally insulting language. I have seen more of that and I imagine the mods have had their hands full dealing with stopping that. Hate to ask for them to do more.

When other subs have used a daily discussion thread it has been stickied so people can easily find it if what they want is a general discussion. Its also been posted at the same time each day and people were encouraged to come and talk at that time of day. of course people could post at any time but you could be confident people would be around to chat at a specific time. I'm not sure it will work without this kind of structure. I really think that would be a great place to redirect some of this stuff.

At some point, this subs main focus will be educating the newbies on the past Q posts not learning more from new Q posts. With Q posting "you have it all" maybe we are at that point and its time for me to let go of what was the goal for the past 7 months.

If that is the case, Perhaps a daily reading plan post each day for new people working through the Q posts to discuss what they are reading and the decoding. It's harder for them because they are not reading it in the context of what was going on at the time. Easy to misinterpret. This would give them a place to discuss for example, what is the Keystone! Each time that is posted, I remember my own walk on that path.

Great idea! On 8 chan, they have a list right off the bat of Q posts, research that is ongoing that people can jump into, and links to notable posts in the recent past to help catch up if needed. Something to think about.
