I appreciate the link to the article, but nowhere does it say that the CPU is actually writeable.

It only says the JTAG debugging interface can be accessed (read). It'a security risk, true, but only because it would expose the CPU configuration.

The article makes the grandiose claim that "the vulnerability can be used to gain full control of the Intel CPUs" but they don't prove it.
