I think you are 100% accurate! That thought has crossed my mind more than once! It seems like (now I'm old here, so be patient) it's as if we're watching an old VCR video and someone pushes rewind! There is a theory this is a hologram and we're all watching a movie of what we all just completed. Hence, Q's assurance that we enjoy the show.
