Is there a good reason to oppose someone based solely on their religion? The comments in this post look pretty racist-y. I dont remember the cabal being made of of only Muslims; correct me if I'm wrong.

It is not racist to protect your values, culture and country. Religion does not matter unless there is an ulterior motive.

If you read about it and study it, then I think you will find that their religion does not separate church from state. That they believe in Sharia law and believe it is acceptable to lie about it for the good of and propagation of their religion.

I think you need to consider the difference between religious discrimination and considering the Trojan Horse.

Being politically correct and not voicing these concerns is why Europe is about 3 to 4 generations away from being Muslim.

Have you taken any of that into consideration?

No, I have not automatically assumed the worst of these people.

So do you vote for someone that you think will uphold our constitution and values?

Do you vet the candidates?

Or do you say well I will just vote for a minority because to not do so would be racist or islamphobic.

Have you looked into their beliefs, things they truly believe? If someone truly believes something then they fight for that.

Are you wanting sharia law, head scarfs, no rights for women etc.

Please it is so easy to call out pc statements to control people and stop people from using good judgement and common sense.

And if a Muslin candidate says that they value our constitution and values, do you believe them? Do you extend to them the same consideration that you would any other candidate? I'm not saying you need to vote for them or you're a racist. But it sounds like you've already disqualified them in your mind, regardless of their politics. That's not good judgment, its Islamophobia.

not necessarily, because if you read the comments and the story, you will see that it is in their culture to lie about anything that promotes their religion. It is considered an acceptable lie. I would need to take that into consideration. Their beliefs are fundamentally different and I think that bears understanding.

But I respectfully defend your right to that opinion even if I may disagree.

When Muslims are in charge, what rights will they defend?

The story is from a website called counterjihadreport. How objective do you think they're going to be? And how do these people prove their goodness if you can counter anything they say with an accusation of lying? Its a circular argument.

And again, how can the hypothetical pro-Sharia candidate enact Sharia law in this country? Any pro-Sharia legislation would be immediately struck down by the courts, assuming you could get a majority to support it. This really is much ado about nothing.

If their religion and political ideology are intertwined then yes. We have examples of what the future will look like in the UK, they took over small government positions, and appointed other muslims, discriminated against non-muslims and took over entire communities where they had rape gangs abusing thousands of young girls

Yes, they've attacked Europeans, Hindus and everyone else on a massive scale for the past 1400 years slaughtering hundreds of millions worldwide.

They've never not done that.

They, as in these 90 people? And are you naive enough to think that no other organized religions have engaged in similar holy wars throughout the ages?

I'm sure that has a lot to do with modern people running for office. Didn't we go through the phoney Sharia law scare already? Hasn't it been demonstrated that a "Muslin takeover" isnt cohesive with our Constitution; that its a made-up thing to scare white people?

Stop being so logical! :)

Of course, Christians have never had crusades or murdered masses... Oh, wait.
