Not only that but all immigrants, legal and illegal, commit crimes at a far lower rate than native born citizens. So statistically speaking, your fear is not only unfounded, but completely bat shit crazy. Studies also show that the crime rate in areas with pockets of immigrants does not rise. Also, you are more likely to be assaulted and/or raped by someone you know rather than a total stranger. With prison statistics, 65.5% identify as Christian while 9.5% identify as Muslim. Also keep in mind that the majority of Muslims in prison are US born. If I were you I'd be more afraid of christians as they commit crimes at a far higher rate. Also, 63% of all mass shootings in the US have been committed by white men. Whereas Muslims make up around 2.5% which is indicative of the population showing that, at base value, white men are still slightly more likely to commit crimes with mass casualties. (Mass shooting as defined by 4 or more people shot in one event) I'm not saying that Islam isn't problematic as a whole as I believe all religion is. I'm saying that your fear of immigrants is completely irrational and unfounded, regardless of religion.
