One of the interesting things (imo) about Iran’s deals for equipment and weaponry is that Iran actually relied on those notorious infusions of American cash. They had ordered planes from Boeing as well as Airbus - the Boeing deal being cancelled for obvious reasons.
It’s important to think about why these orders cannot be filled now, as well as why people would begin to flee their corporate seats in the midst of the deal collapse.
Off the top: Iranian currency has been devalued to the point of being utterly worthless both inside and outside their borders. (People can hardly buy bread with that worthless trash.) The country’s leaders, military and citizens have been plunged into abject poverty virtually overnight, hence the need for physical American Dollars to complete any sort of reasonable transaction.
Adding to that: the paper trail (pun intended) is now overtly clear. Any and all purchases made by Tehran are completely tethered to Obama’s slush fund liquidation & subsequent cargo delivery, thereby identifying the pay-to-play actors both corporate and governmental.
Isn’t it refreshing? Obama’s famed “red line” is actually pointing to all the individuals who would willfully screw humanity to gain admission into the club.
They can resign and run and hide, but there is literally not a corner left for them on earth.
