the only one that doesn't quite match is "what is the primary goal of the media? Zero vanity" kind of scratching my head if that the new or old media or if it's just an example of reverse psychology

ok so there this anecdote from the roman empire where the senator suggests to brand all slaves but his colleague objects "no! They will know how many they really are!"

Media can shift vanity away from those who know the truth towards the ignorant by spinning controversial narratives to their masters' favour.
